The fact that it links to the South West Coast Path on either end (allowing for an epic circular tour of Cornwall) is certainly part of its appeal, but this trail makes for a beautiful linear walk in its own right.
From Plymouth to Morwenstow, the Tamara Way largely follows the route of the River Tamar, tracing its journey upstream through the Tamar Valley National Landscape. As you meander along the county border between Cornwall and Devon, you will encounter a variety of charming landscapes, welcoming villages, and several intriguing historic sites to explore, offering something of interest for all tastes to enjoy.
