About the trail

Art of the Green Bridge of Wales, found on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.

The Pembrokeshire Coast Path follows the coastline of the Pembrokeshire National Park through some of the best scenery in Britain. The path keeps largely to the clifftops, providing superb views of cliffs, beaches, offshore stacks and islands with their abundant birdlife.

Each turn in this section of the Wales Coast Path reveals something different, such as a little harbour or an attractive village bustling with life. The coastline also boasts a wealth of history, with sites of interest including a Neolithic cromlech, Bronze Age standing stones, Iron Age promontory forts and a castle built by Norman invaders.

Looking to complete the full Wales Coast Path? This trail connects to Ceredigion Coast Path at one end and the Carmarthenshire Coast Path at the other. Our standard Pembrokeshire Coast Path tours run in the opposite direction to these other legs of the Wales Coast Path, so be sure to select the 'Reverse tour' option for Pembrokeshire if you plan to link these holidays together.

We offer multiple holiday options along this trail. If you wish to experience the entire trail, simply select the first option from the list below.

Pembrokeshire Short Break - Central Section

This short break departs Marloes to travel north along the central stretch of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, uncovering a wealth of history along the way: old mine workings, Iron Age forts and ancient earthworks, and the long-established fishing villages dotted along the trail.

The trail winds around rugged shorelines, sandy beaches and windy clifftops along Pembrokeshire’s stunning coast, with the occasional inland departure through green woodland and quiet fields. It concludes in the religious settlement of St Davids, complete with beautiful cathedral.

This route can also be travelled in the opposite direction if preferred. Select the ‘Reverse tours’ option when choosing your itinerary.
