Peak Pilgrimage

The Peak Pilgrimage is a low-level walk between the churches of the Peak District. Spanning 34 miles, the trail flows north from Ilam along the River Dove, delving into limestone dales and dipping into villages like Hartington and Monyash. There’s the opportunity to explore the famous town of Bakewell, home to a number of independent shops and eateries, and of course, the town’s signature Bakewell Pudding.

The final day of the Peak Pilgrimage walk offers views over the manicured grounds of Chatsworth Park before presenting a choice of routes: follow the main riverside route through Baslow, or clamber the more challenging alternative up to Curbar and Froggatt Edge, famous rock protrusions with wide-ranging views over the Peaks.
